GamerLegion AWPer Milan “hypex” Polowiec is set to face Vitality in the BLAST Rivals semifinals in Fort Worth on May 2 after a 4-12 comeback over Astralis.
GamerLegion AWPer Milan “hypex” Polowiec is set to face Vitality in the BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1 semifinals in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 2 at 20:30. The matchup follows GamerLegion’s 2-0 arena win over Astralis, which included a comeback from 4-12 to win Inferno in overtime, and an earlier group-stage upset over FURIA that secured an early playoff spot.
GamerLegion opened the event with the upset of FURIA to clinch a playoff berth. The team split results in other group maps, including a loss to Natus Vincere, before their first arena game where they defeated Astralis 2-0. On Inferno, GamerLegion recovered from a 12-4 deficit, won consecutive rounds to force overtime, and closed out the map on their T side.
Polowiec, appearing on a main arena stage for the first time, called the crowd experience energizing. “I’m not going to lie, it was pretty awesome. I think I know why people say playing in front of a crowd is so much better. The adrenaline, the noise you can hear them making in the back, it’s amazing,” he remarked.
On the Inferno comeback, Polowiec described the team’s approach as methodical and consistent. “When it was so far apart, I think we felt that the game could go either way at that point, so we just carried on with our plan, taking it round after round. I mean, it was working.” He added that the team’s performance on T side in overtime decided the map: “We knew we were better and should have won more rounds on T, so yeah, we managed to do it.”
Polowiec addressed an earlier remark about Vitality, calling it a joke that some took out of context. “It was just a joke at the time, people took it out of context, and people got ragebaited by it. We’re going to do our best to do it tomorrow, and it’s going to be pretty funny if it actually happens.” He noted that Vitality frequently plays on arena stages and said he was interested to see how they perform in Fort Worth.
The semifinal between Vitality and GamerLegion is scheduled for May 2 at 20:30 local time in Fort Worth, Texas. Asked about sleep before the next match, Polowiec laughed and said, “Hopefully, maybe in like four hours.”
