G2 Esports wins LEC Spring 2026 as both finalists qualify for MSI

G2 Esports captured the LEC 2026 Spring title in a best-of-five grand final, defeating Karmine Corp 3–2 to close out the series. The result sent both finalists to the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational under the league’s qualification rules.

The team stayed in the upper bracket throughout the playoffs. G2 opened with a 3–1 win over Karmine Corp in the upper-bracket semifinal and followed with a 3–2 victory against Movistar KOI in the upper-bracket final to reach the title match.

Karmine Corp advanced from the lower bracket after its opening loss to G2. The team beat Natus Vincere 3–1, won 3–0 against GIANTX, and then defeated Movistar KOI 3–0 to earn a rematch with G2 in the final and lock in MSI qualification.

As LEC Spring champions, G2 also earned a place at the Esports World Cup 2026. G2 had previously qualified for that event, so the LEC Spring slot was reallocated to Movistar KOI.

The LEC Spring playoffs used a double-elimination format, with an upper and lower bracket. G2 progressed to the grand final without dropping a series, while Karmine Corp reached the final after three consecutive lower-bracket wins.
