FURIA fe leaves Counter-Strike to join VALORANT
FURIA announced its women’s Counter-Strike roster, FURIA fe, will fully transition to VALORANT after six years and an ESL Impact League Season 7 title.
FURIA announced that its women’s Counter-Strike roster, FURIA fe, will fully transition to VALORANT. The club confirmed the change without providing specific dates for when the team will begin competing in Riot Games’ title.
FURIA fe spent six years with the organization, winning multiple South American events. The squad reached three consecutive ESL Impact League finals before winning the Season 7 trophy.
The roster listed by the club includes Karina “kaahSENSEI” Takahashi, Izabella “izaa” Galle, Gabriela “gabs” Freindorfer, Bruna “bizinha” Marvila and Lucia “lulitenz” Dubra.
The announcement follows disruption in the women’s Counter-Strike scene after the ESL Impact circuit was placed on indefinite hold at the end of 2025. Several organizations parted ways with their women’s lineups after the pause, and some event programs were reduced or postponed.
Mayline-Joy “ASTRA” Champliaud left an established women’s Counter-Strike team and moved to VALORANT in early August, citing “female CS falling apart and the lack of tournaments coming up.”
FURIA did not release a detailed schedule for its VALORANT program. The club also did not specify whether the current roster will remain intact for VALORANT competition, or whether additional signings or changes to the coaching staff are planned.
The roster’s exit reduces the number of established women’s Counter-Strike teams competing in South America. Organizers and teams have paused or scaled back events tied to the Impact circuit, and several high-profile players have transitioned to VALORANT.
FURIA’s statement did not include further comment on long-term plans for its women’s esports programs beyond the VALORANT announcement.
