Nikita ‘jackasmo’ Skyba led Fnatic with a 34-13 scoreline on Inferno and a series total of 47-26, registering a 1.71 rating and 115.7 average damage per round (ADR).
Dmytro ‘jambo’ Semera finished 37-34 with a 1.18 rating. Volodymyr ‘mazay’ Iorhachov recorded 37-29 with a 1.14 rating. Rodion ‘fEAR’ Smyk and Artem ‘cairne’ Mushynskyi posted 25-29 and 25-30 respectively.
HEROIC’s Antonio ‘MartinezSa’ Martinez posted 47-33 and a 1.59 rating. Linus ‘nilo’ Bergmann, Tim ‘susp’ Ångström, Ludvig ‘Brollan’ Brolin and Christoffer ‘Chr1zN’ Storgaard finished with K-D lines of 26-31, 26-36, 23-35 and 23-37 and ratings between 0.71 and 0.89.
Fnatic made roster changes at the start of July, replacing Viktor ‘Br4tkO’ Kondratets with mazay and cairne. Since those changes the team has won 12 series and lost one.
Fnatic will face the winner of K27 vs. EYEBALLERS for a spot in the Esports World Cup main event. A matchup could include former Fnatic players Freddy ‘KRIMZ’ Johansson and Jesper ‘JW’ Wecksell against their old organization.
Christoffer ‘Chr1zN’ Storgaard after the match: “I feel like we kinda got overwhelmed with the tempo that was coming at us. They play very aggressive, very direct, and I feel like we basically just got outplayed. It’s not good enough, but to be honest, that’s the truth.”
The open qualifier stage fills remaining slots in the main tournament with teams from multiple regions.
