Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide named Vitality CEO; Maurer becomes CSO

Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide is Vitality’s new CEO; co-founder Nicolas Maurer moves to Chief Strategy Officer and will step back from daily operations to focus on business model and new initiatives.

Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide has been named CEO of Vitality, a French organization. Co-founder Nicolas Maurer moves into a newly defined Chief Strategy Officer role and will step back from daily operations. Devide announced the leadership change in a LinkedIn post.

The post stated that Maurer will dedicate his time to evolving the group’s business model and to new developments: “By becoming Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), he is stepping back from day-to-day operations to dedicate himself to the evolution of our business model and our new developments.”

Devide set out his priorities for the CEO role, saying he will re-emphasize competitive performance, focus on the sporting results of Vitality’s teams, and maintain engagement with the global community that follows the organization: “In taking over as CEO, my objective is clear: to put our competitive DNA back at the heart of everything we do, with an absolute focus on the sporting performance of our teams, while continuing to inspire our community around the world.”

The announcement frames the change as an internal reallocation of responsibilities between the co-founders rather than a departure. The post says the founders remain close and that the clarified roles are intended to strengthen the group. No timetable for the handover was provided.

Operational leadership will be handled by Devide while Maurer will oversee long-term strategy and new initiatives.
