Ajinomoto to sponsor EVO Japan 2026, offer gamer nutrition

Ajinomoto confirmed as a supporting sponsor of EVO Japan 2026 and will provide amino acid-based nutrition and conditioning support at Tokyo Big Sight, May 1–3, 2026.

Ajinomoto Co., Inc. confirmed it will be a supporting sponsor of EVO Japan 2026 and will offer nutrition support aimed at improving gamers’ health and performance. The company announced the sponsorship on the official EVO Japan X account.

Ajinomoto said its role will center on supporting the health, well-being and performance of gamers, esports competitors, staff and attendees through food and nutrition. The company plans to provide amino acid-based nutrition and conditioning support and to apply nutritional science to physical and mental performance for event participants.

EVO Japan 2026 will run from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3 at Tokyo Big Sight, occupying East Halls 1, 2 and 3. The event is part of the global Evolution Championship Series and is expected to draw top fighting-game players and spectators from around the world. LevTech is the event’s title sponsor; the official event name is EVO Japan 2026 presented by LevTech, and Ajinomoto is listed among the supporting sponsors.

The tournament lineup will include Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 and 2XKO. Organizers plan competitive brackets, side events, exhibitor booths, multiple competition stages and fan programming across the three-day schedule.

Ajinomoto has provided nutrition and conditioning support to elite athletes through its Victory Project and has been an official partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee since 2003 and the Japanese Paralympic Committee since 2015. The company plans to extend the same amino acid-focused approach used with Olympic and Paralympic teams to the esports setting.

In the X post, Ajinomoto wrote it aims to support “the health and performance of gamers and esports participants through food and nutrition.” The company’s role at EVO Japan 2026 is limited to supporting activities rather than acting as the event’s main sponsor.
