3DMAX accepts invite to $1M XSE Pro League in Guangzhou
French squad 3DMAX accepted an invitation to the $1 million XSE Pro League in Guangzhou, July 1–12, after missing qualification for the Cologne Major by 22 Valve points.
Organizers announced Thursday that French squad 3DMAX has accepted an invitation to the XSE Pro League, a $1 million LAN event in Guangzhou running July 1–12. 3DMAX is the ninth confirmed team. Other invited sides include FaZe, BetBoom and Legacy.
The tournament will begin with a 16-team Swiss stage and move to a single-elimination playoff bracket for the top eight teams. Matches are scheduled across 12 days during the summer break.
3DMAX failed to qualify for the Cologne Major after finishing 22 Valve points short of the threshold. The roster placed fourth at PGL Bucharest, then recorded one win across five matches at IEM Rio and the CS Asia Championship.
The team is currently competing at Stake Ranked Episode 2. After a 0-2 loss to magic in the opening round of the $100,000 LAN, 3DMAX faces Alliance in an elimination match.
The Guangzhou event will feature international invited teams and prize money outside the Major circuit, providing additional LAN matches ahead of the second half of the year. Organizers said they are inviting the remaining teams to complete the 16-team field.
