molodoy CS2: Player Profile, Stats, Career and Achievements

Danil “molodoy” Golubenko is a Kazakhstani professional Counter-Strike 2 player and the AWPer for FURIA. His move from AMKAL to one of the world’s leading teams in April 2025 began a rapid rise through tier-one CS, followed by four LAN titles that year, two MVP awards and a Major final appearance in 2026.

Who Is molodoy CS2?

Born on January 10, 2005, Danil Golubenko comes from Kazakhstan, a country with a long connection to competitive Counter-Strike. molodoy’s nationality places him in the same regional scene that has produced a number of internationally successful players, but his route to the highest level was unusually fast.

Golubenko began playing Counter-Strike when he was very young, initially spending time in the game with friends. Competitive opportunities came later. By 2024, his performances for ALLINNERS were putting his name on the radar beyond the local scene.

DMS signed the young AWPer in September 2024, and AMKAL followed in January 2025. His numbers there made him difficult for bigger organizations to ignore. During his short AMKAL spell, he averaged a 1.26 rating against online opposition.

FURIA signed him in April 2025. Golubenko had only 67 maps recorded by HLTV when the organization brought him into its international project. A few months later, molodoy was already competing for tier-one trophies against some of the strongest CS2 teams in the world.

CS2 molodoy Career Journey and Team History

Golubenko’s professional career began before Counter-Strike 2 became the main competitive title. His early molodoy CSGO period was brief, with Liquipedia dating his active career to 2020, while regular appearances for established organizations came several years later.

ALLINNERS provided a platform during 2024 before DMS signed him in September. AMKAL followed at the start of 2025, and his strong individual output there quickly opened the door to international competition.

Joining Team Furia also meant adapting to a new team environment. FURIA was moving away from an exclusively Brazilian lineup, and Golubenko joined alongside YEKINDAR as the team adopted an international, English-speaking setup.

His first event with the roster went well: FURIA finished fourth at PGL Astana 2025, giving Golubenko a deep run on home soil in Kazakhstan.

FURIA then won four tournaments in the second half of 2025: FISSURE Playground 2, Thunderpick World Championship, IEM Chengdu and BLAST Rivals Season 2. FURIA also reached the quarterfinals at both the Austin and Budapest Majors.

By 2026, Golubenko was an established part of the FURIA CS2 roster. He helped the team reach the IEM Kraków final and then the IEM Cologne Major grand final, where FURIA finished runner-up to Falcons.

The AWP accounts for the majority of Golubenko’s kills with FURIA. Across 297 maps recorded for the team by HLTV, he has 4,917 kills against 3,773 deaths, producing a 1.30 K/D ratio. His figures also include 0.76 kills per round and an impact rating of 1.20.

The opening numbers are particularly strong. Golubenko has 857 opening kills against 483 opening deaths in CS2, while FURIA wins almost three quarters of the rounds in which he finds the first kill.

Golubenko plays an active AWP, but he does not force an opening duel every round. He looks for early angles and has the mechanical speed to punish opponents who challenge him, but he can also preserve his impact deeper into a round. Strong clutch numbers complement his opening ability.

That balance suits FURIA. FalleN can concentrate on in-game leadership while Golubenko handles the primary AWP, with KSCERATO, yuurih and YEKINDAR supplying rifle firepower around him. The structure gives molodoy CS enough freedom to seek picks without making every round dependent on his first duel.

molodoy CS Achievements

Golubenko’s first full year at tier one produced an exceptional collection of team and individual results. FURIA won four LAN events in 2025, while the Kazakh AWPer received MVP awards at FISSURE Playground 2 and IEM Chengdu.

His Chengdu performance was particularly strong. Golubenko finished the tournament with a 1.27 rating and led the field in several categories, including K/D difference, AWP kills per round and total 1vX rounds won.

HLTV ranked him No. 6 among the best players of 2025, an extraordinary position for someone who entered tier-one competition only in April. He was subsequently named HLTV’s Rookie of the Year.

Major competition has provided another measure of his progress. CS2 molodoy reached the quarterfinals at Austin and Budapest in 2025 before going considerably further at Cologne in June 2026. FURIA advanced all the way to the Major final, ultimately losing 0–3 to Falcons.

At 21, Golubenko already has four LAN trophies, two MVP medals and a Major runner-up finish on his résumé. His transition from AMKAL to international tier-one Counter-Strike took only months; maintaining that level has turned the initial breakthrough into something more substantial.
