xfl0ud: FUT can reach long-term top-five status

FUT defeated TYLOO 13-10 on Mirage at the Esports World Cup on Aug. 14, 2026. FUT led 9-3 at halftime on the CT side before TYLOO mounted a late comeback; FUT closed out the map to secure the win.

Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç made his first LAN appearance for FUT after leaving HEROIC in the off-season. He praised FUT’s CT performance and blamed a lost T-side pistol and weak early gun rounds for allowing TYLOO to recover. “I think our CT side was pretty solid. I think we played pretty well,” he added, recalling a 1v1 he lost after three early kills that shifted momentum.

Koç, 23, said he chose FUT over other offers because of the club’s profile and its young roster, and he credited the Turkish fanbase for making him feel at home. He described the atmosphere around the younger players as energizing and noted that the roster contains several promising talents.

As the oldest member of the squad, Koç highlighted anchor dziuggs and rifler Krabeni for their potential and called dem0n “one of the best shooters” he has played with. He said the younger players can grow into more impactful hitters with time and practice.

FUT entered the Esports World Cup after a mixed start to the season. At BLAST Bounty the team beat SINNERS but lost to 3DMAX and missed the LAN finals. Koç attributed that result to limited preparation — about one to one-and-a-half weeks of practice — and to personal circumstances, including his honeymoon.

Since BLAST Bounty the roster has practiced more consistently for roughly a month. Koç said he has adapted to new voice calls and to different CT positions and that he now feels more comfortable in the lineup. “Now I am more like myself,” he said.

The team’s short-term goal at the Esports World Cup is to reach the playoffs, with semifinals or the final listed as stretch targets given the limited practice time. For the longer term, Koç reiterated his belief that sustained consistency and ongoing improvement can move FUT into the top five of the world rankings: “If we can be more consistent and keep learning, keep grinding and keep evolving, I think we’re going to be a top-five team in the long term.”
